HIRZL Gloves... at Both Extremes of Golf Performance? |

Sports performance glove engineers HIRZL AG announced this week via the HIRZL North America that their brand has been chosen for the second straight year as the official golf glove of the 2011 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods – a national sports equipment retailer.
“We are very pleased and excited to have HIRZL return as our official golf glove for this year’s event,” said Art Sellinger, chief executive officer of Long Drivers of America, owners of the Championship. “At last year’s RE/MAX World Championship Finals, HIRZL was a huge hit with the players and I expect many more players to be wearing HIRZL gloves at this year’s Championship,” added Sellinger. “With the contestants generating swing speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour, having a properly fit glove that can withstand extreme wear and tear and provide superior grip is paramount to success,”

HIRZL is also the official glove of the Ladies European Tour (LET). In addition to being endorsed by Tour clubfitter Gene Fulton, HIRZL staff player Anna Nordqvist of Sweden turned in a superb Solheim Cup performance at the end of Summer in Ireland to help the European Team to a 15:13 win over Team USA. It might appear to some a strange combination - long drivers on one hand and the women’s game on the other – but it is so true of the HIRZL pedigree.
Axel Lemmerz of HIRZL AG in Switzerland explains: “This isn’t just a case of Beauty and the Beast... it’s more subtle than that. At the core of HIRZL technology is consistency. The 2011 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship is taking place from October 26- November 4 in Mesquite, Nevada with the finals shown live on November 4th on ESPN3 at 1 P.M. PST. HIRZL is also the official glove of the Aldila Long Drive Team (whose members will be in Mesquite for the competition. |
