At the tender age of 14, Becker became German champion for the first time. Three years ago, she performed an even more sensational feat: with nine birdies, one eagle, and only one bogey, she cracked the existing course record of the legendary Old Course in St. Andrews, setting a new mark at 10 under par. As one of the two chosen players from Germany, she played and won at the prestigious biennial match between teams from the Continent of Europe and Great Britain & Ireland, the Vagliano Trophy. Recently, she finished – as the best German participant – at a shared eleventh place at the ABN AMRO Ladies Open held at the Eindhovensche Golf Club. As a team player, Denise-Charlotte Becker has contributed a great deal to the huge success of her home club GC Hubbelrath (Düsseldorf), winning the German Ladies’ Team Championship and the European Club Trophy.
